I’ve decided to take a little break from blogging for a few weeks to give myself a well deserved rest. Before I go though I need to round up for the May #MyGloriousGardens linky. I’m also excited that people are beginning to use the hashtag on Instagram too, so thank you everyone!
This month we had 17 linkers which is great! If you were a new linker or have linked before, thankyou. It’s always lovely to read all your fabulous posts and I hope you found some new blogs to read. In a change to past months, I thought I would share my favourite post and also my favourite photos from Instagram instead.
My favourite post
It was very tricky to choose a favourite but this month I really adored 25 ways to connect with nature in your garden. by Lucy over at Kids of the Wild. Maybe because I’m a teacher, I can see all the added benefits that nature and being outside bring to children. Sometimes, we tend to forget the importance of being outside on our mental and physical health. In Japan, they practise forest bathing; such a great name for immersing yourself in, and reconnecting with, nature. If you didn’t get to read this post, do. It’s a lovely list and one that all parents and grandparents would appreciate.
My favourite Instagram photos.
My hashtag #MyGloriousGardens is gaining some new followers and it has been lovely to see all your photos, thank you. This is an easy one to join in with so do use my hashtag if you have a photograph of a glorious outdoor space and you may be featured on the June link up party.
Here are 3 of my favourites for the month of May.

This gorgeous boy knows how much I love flowers and photos, so asked me to come out into the garden with him to take some pictures. He's such a thoughtful boy, thinking of ways to make me happy and spend time with me. So I'm skipping ahead to day 20 of #MyPrelovedHome which I hope includes the garden with 'fave spot', and I'll catch up with the ones I've missed soon! #mygloriousgardens

I am planning a little blogging break for a few weeks so the lovely Ann from Gardening Limited will be hosting the June linky. Do pop over and help her out by linking your wonderful and glorious garden posts. I will be back to read them shortly. Meanwhile enjoy the gorgeous weather that we have been having and I shall leave you with a picture of the Old House garden.
A blog about my life in The Old House, a mum to teenagers, a primary school teacher and my passion for gardening.
