We went on holiday last week, returning today. I knew that there had not been any rain in Wiltshire so was wondering how the garden had fared in this continuing heat wave. I watered like crazy before we left and did have a kind soul who came in a few times to keep the vegetables going for me however, it was interesting to see which plants have thrived and which certainly have not!
I think the garden managed quite well all in all. It was only a week but without any real rain for about 8 weeks here in Wiltshire (apart from one shower) we are doing ok. I did loose two Dahlias that I had only planted at the end of June so they hadn’t really had time to take off, sadly. The first picture is my ‘meadow’ which seems to have been over run with Nasturtiums! Oh well, at least the caterpillars will enjoy them.
How’s your garden doing?
