I wasn’t sure whether to join in with Six on Saturday this week as nothing, and I mean nothing, has been happening in the Old House garden for quite a while!
I’ve been so busy with full time work and family commitments that the garden has been left to look after itself which is exactly what the wildlife need and like. I like to leave seed heads and plants alone until Spring to enable animals to hibernate and birds to help themself to much needed food. I found a frog underneath some logs in the corner of the garden last week and I know that we have slow worms which I think are still in the compost heap. However, there are jobs that I do need to get on with so hopefully I can get into the garden this weekend!
1. The new border
2. The Cottage border
3. Feeding the birds
4. Flipping Vinca!
6. New growth
It’s going to be mild this weekend in Wiltshire so perhaps I’ll get out into the garden.
Happy gardening everyone!
