This week, we have seen snow, Storm Eric and sunshine in Wiltshire!
The snow from last weekend melted on Monday, much to everyone’s disapppointment in the Old House household. We then had almost balmy temperatures of 12 degrees mid week with some welcome sunshine. Yesterday, in flew the tail end of Storm Eric causing high winds and pouring rain. To be a teacher in these weathers is tricky as the children go crazy in the high winds and can’t get outside to play in pouring rain. To be a gardener in these weathers is also tricky as the poor garden doesn’t know what it’s doing! Anyway, here is my Six On Saturday for today. There are definite signs of Spring in the garden.

4. Sweet Pea update
5. Feeding the birds
6. Ghost apples……
This photo was from Twitter last night and I’ve tried to find the original photographer and I think it’s Andrew Sietsema so credit to him. This is in Michigan apparently, where it’s so cold, the rotten apples slip out of it’s ‘ice case’ and leaves these ghost apples. They are amazing!
That’s it folks! Happy gardening and have a great weekend. X
