I haven’t managed a post for a couple of weeks but the garden has grown quite a bit since my last post. It has been crazy busy at work and the renovations are coming on well. The garden has become my sanctuary after work and I have found it a really calming place to go when things are getting too much and stressful!
1. The new patio and garden wall.
This will be the new patio and garden wall. The wall will be dressed with Bath Stone to match the new extension wall. The area has new drains and retaining wall. The hardcore has been compacted and is ready for the patio stones.
2. The raised border.
The raised bed is beginning to look great after all the weeks battling with the snails in the rain! I planted love-in-a-mist and cosmos here and I’m really pleased how it is looking now that we have enjoyed some sunshine. The Irrigatia System kindly sent to me to try, is now in place. You can see it near the water butt. It’s solar powered so I’ve been waiting to use it! It works really well so far.
The roses in the Rose garden are looking amazing at the moment. I love Olivia Rose as it’s got a wonderful scent.
4. Spider Lily or Crinum Lily?
I bought these lilies in Holland at Easter and I didn’t make a note about what I had bought. Can anyone identify these please? They are really pretty but I don’t know my lilies! Thanks.
